About our Shop

The majority of LHA members are small family-run village-based businesses with limited to no access to online markets. The technology and systems necessary to set up and operate an online shop is also usually beyond their means, and the language barrier is often a problem too. With the tourism sector having been severely affected by the pandemic, local small handicrafts artisans found themselves with ever more limited options to sell their crafts and earn their living.

Lao Handicraft Association aims to help its members to access global markets to promote and sell their handicrafts. Our online shop is operated by LHA for and on behalf of our members. The product in our online shop have been carefully selected based on their quality, sustainability of their production process, and their representation of the Lao traditions. We hope you enjoy them!
