Lao Handicraft Association (LHA) is a non profit organization established in 1998 under the supervision of Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) with the aim to represent all handicraft artisans in Laos.
LHA currently has 125 members representing all sectors of traditional handicrafts in Laos.
Lao Handicraft Association has various activities organizing trainings, raising self-knowledge awareness which carry benefits to the members, also include dissemination of government regulations, increasing productivity, product design, and business administration of SME and so on.
One of the main events organized by the LHA is the annual Lao Handicraft Festival (LHF), which is usually held in November and includes activities such as handicraft exhibition and sales, demonstrations of artisan techniques, seminars, a fashion show and various product contests.
